So far, it looks promising. After uploading new firmware, updating the software, and programming a few sample channels (which isn't difficult in cps, in fact, very easy), it's working very well, so it'll be time for field performance and efficiency tests soon.

Little great radio. Analog and digital modes work perfectly on vhf/uhf bands and promiscuous mode it's a great help on dmr to identify talk groups, time slots and color codes. Vfo scan speed could be improved.

I don't know if you can ask for more for the price, I suggest changing the firmware to dual tachyon .40, the DMR chip version 1.2.0.21 and the CPS v1.24.250530. The one that comes from the factory will give you problems if you don't update it. After the update that I recommend, it's 100% perfect, excellent radio.

Excellent station for the money. A bit complicated control and small display. The only thing I haven't figured out yet is why it doesn't want to work in ARC (40 bit) encryption mode with TYT radio. Maybe I haven't understood it.

Many features, wide functionality, good sound, very versatile analog/digital, easily homologated by Anatel (for individual use), compact, lightweight, and at the same time, with a strong construction. For all this radio does its a good price ..it does come programmed im not real sure how to set it up from scratch at this point .ive had a dmr radio so ill figure it out .but if you are a novice ..this is not a good choice for you.

Very good radios, I recommend updating the version to v3.16 because the one that comes with it has many bugs and is very slow.

Has great sound for both transmission and reception. Unfortunately that's all... Dmr is extremely buggy and totally useless. The radio is not receiving most of the transmissions and after about 30seconds of idle time stops receiving all transmissions which makes it essentially useless. The promiscuous mode does not work as it's supposed to work - you can listen only the selected timeslot, not both. The address book memory is tiny and absolutely can't fit the address list. Honestly, it looks great, but performs terrible. I can't recommend it. Running on firmware 3.16 and dmr 1.02.00.22

So far so good. I've updated both the firmware and the digital chip with the latest version and programmed analogue and digital channels in. It's a massive learning curve with dmr, and i'm not sure if i've done it correctly, but at least they talk to each other, so that's something. One thing i have noticed, though, is the delay from pressing the ptt to it actually transmitting, it's about 1½ seconds. Maybe a future update may cure that.

I received it, no issues encountered. I really like the display, it's a clear winner in direct sunlight.

Small good product, only tested in analog mode, haven't tried digital yet. Radtel needs to improve the antenna docking finish; according to the device I bought, the base and antenna docking are not 100% aligned.

A cool walkie-talkie, for $30-38 it's okay, you can take it. The standard antenna needs to be replaced immediately, for example with a Retevis RHD701.

It has a real promiscous mode! You can listen all the unencrypted dmr-trafic! It makes me happiest person in da wurld! Also it can listen 18-1000 mhz! It has am, fm and up-ssb modulations in analog! It is the most powerful thing i have at all!!! Althu you can charge it ouwise the type-c without cradle. If you want somebody to sing up the "unga-bunga" song, just present him this mighty radtel rt4d!!! !

The radio is of good quality, the functionality is expanded by supporting dmr and aes-256, good reception sensitivity, the only drawback is the antenna is poorly tuned swr at 430 mhz. The seller shipped quickly, i recommend it.

It has a monochromatic blue display but it looks very good, the audio quality is excellent and it has good analog reception, I haven't tried DMR yet. I ordered the Radtel RT-4D as a cost-effective VHF/UHF device for FM and DMR. Once again, the entire process from order to delivery took just one week. The included user manual in English was completely sufficient for the initial operation. But I also found a PDF on the internet that explained more. Unfortunately not included. In the shipment, there was the programming cable, so I had to program the basic function through the device's keyboard in a cumbersome way. The device gives a good impression in terms of quality. Awesome little radio, has 256 encryption for digital and a scramble function for analog however the scramble is a bit off when i test it on the same scram offset as the uvk6 i got so somethings going on there.... Also if i try to duel watch digital and analog channels together the radio starts lagging and can't tx or rx until i reboot so stay on single watch for now! Software needs a little work too but overall a great little radio and it lasts for about 3 days for me with moderate usage. If those kinks get sorted it'll be a banger!! !

Need to upgrade software after first time on. Very good battery 4 days online. Handy transciver. Quality is fine. Some fix in dmr chip. In the future i hope it will be resolved. Despite of this i recomend this ham radio.

There are several specialized channels on Telegram for this radio station. There are alternative firmwares available. There is real AES256 encryption (different initialization vector for each transmission). And it really works - tested on direct channels with Motorola R7 radio. Ignoring the RAS code during reception - this is not possible. In addition to TalkAround, there is also a reverse frequency Rx / Tx. For its price - excellent!

The radio is great, but the firmware and CPS are hopeless. Fortunately, there is already an alternative firmware DualTachyon. Unfortunately, the antenna is not suitable because the SWR is 1:3.

Batt charge via usb c anywhere. User manual may be slightly different than real according to latest firmware. World dmr id exceed the rt4 capacity (not much but it exceed anyway). Zones are group of memories. 256 zones. Scanning speed not slow but not that fast. Cps working well despite some tabs are hard to understand what is it standing for. Overall, a very good one that i find easier to use (yes, you need a couple of hours to get accustomed).

I made a mistake, I thought it would work with Kenwoods, Motorolas, but it's not the same encryption system, so it doesn't. works. Shipping was terrible but product is good, has am, fm, dmr, and is great value. If you want something with better programming get the baofeng dm1701 which is a few dollars more but i believe is better. If you want more features buy this but if you want easier programming buy dm1701

This is a surprisingly easy little dmr radio to program and use. It took me less than half an hour to load my favorite dmr channels, and while the screen is monochrome, it gives me all the info i care to know. My only concern was attempts to upgrade firmware bricked the unit. That said, it was easy to unbrick, by reloading the firmware, which i kept handy, just in case. I would not hesitate to buy more of these. The price is right, and they work as promised. The dealer was prompt, which is a real plus.
